Youth and Young Peoples Ministries

The Youth Minister at Kirkintilloch Baptist Church is Jonny Pratt. KBC operates a Child Protection Policy and all our leaders are selected in accordance with these policies. We have a wide variety of ministries to cover all ages and our passion for young people is highlighted below.

PURPOSE:
To fulfil the vision of the Church: “The making and maturing of disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the glory of God, in the power of the Holy Spirit” with respect to young people.

CORE VALUES:

  • That Christian Youth Ministry must give a priority, in practice and in learning, to the importance of the teaching of the Bible.
  • That genuine caring relationships of integrity with young people are an essential aspect of Christian Youth Ministry.
  • That leaders should live as much like Jesus Christ as possible among young people whoever they are, whatever their situation.

PASTORAL CARE:
Through the various organisations and leaders, KBC Youth ministries seek to extend pastoral care contact as appropriate to all young people aged 12-25.
