Giving

  • Those who join the church are asked to consider their financial support of the church. We encourage members to give a regular proportion of their income to support the church’s many activities and ministries. These embrace our own fellowship as well as other individuals and organisations at home and overseas.
  • You can either put an offering in the bag as it is passed around during the services on a Sunday, or you can join the church’s Gift Aid Scheme. This scheme enables the church to recover the income tax you have paid on the gift you give.
  • If you join the scheme you can either put your offering in a Gift Aid envelope which we can provide for you or give by Standing Order straight into the Church Account.
  • The Gift Aid scheme has many advantages. For example, for every £1 you give it becomes £1.28 because the government returns to the church the tax paid on it. Your giving can be altered at any time if your circumstances change.
  • Each year, KBC receive a considerable income from the Gift Aid Scheme. If you would like to know more about the scheme and how to become part of this beneficial way of giving, please speak to George Tinning who is our Gift Aid Scheme Convenor, or to our Churc Treasurer, Norman McNeish. They will be happy to help with confidential advice and can be contacted through the church Church Office on 578 6006.
  • One of the most exciting projects at KBC at the moment, is the construction of a new building. In 2000, the leadership and congregation decided that the current building no longer served the ministry and mission of the church and refurbishment was not considered viable. A decision was taken to re-build on the current site to maintain a presence in the town and the old church was demolished in October 2005.
  • It is for the sake of progressing God’s mission that we have undertaken to spend £1.8M on a building that will serve the purposes of KBC. To date, over £1.5M has already been raised by the sacrificial giving of the congregation. We expect the new premises to be completed in the spring of 2007.
  • We pray you will catch the vision and potential of this new building and will commit to support this project. If you would like further information about the annual church accounts, this is also available from the church office.
